Frances Bakery has been a little Tokyo institution for decades. Simply decorated on the inside, it is reminescent of a cute little European cafe. Picked up a couple cakes for work birthdays and they came out to a pricey $71 ... not the cheapest. They also sell cakes by the slice, and macarons, though I still prefer Paulette and Jin Patisserie.

The cakes were moist, creamy and not overly sweet. Also, my British director commented that the passionfruit cake looked like "a spam cake" which was highly amusing to me.
